Book Review: ‘Hunger’ by Felicity Heaton

hunger-barrage*** I was gifted a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. ***

I actually haven’t read any of the previous books in this series, but honestly, it didn’t really make much difference. All characters were introduced and identified so I knew who was who. (Of course, NOW I will have to go look up the rest of the series 😛 )

Eve is a reluctant Vampire. Being a Vampire is such a major contrast with her former life that she is having trouble dealing with some aspects of her lifestyle change.
Tor is a Hunter, sent to escort Eve to reunite with her sister. He never banked on Eve’s need for revenge bringing her closer to him.
I quite enjoyed this neat, action – packed, sexually charged book. As I said above, characters were introduced and/or mentioned without leaving the reader wondering who the heck they were. None of the characters felt weak or flimsy, from the main characters to the “weaklings”.

The sex scenes were really well written and weren’t in any way smutty. Plus the whole lust/love/sex scenarios didn’t rule the whole book, which I found quite pleasant. Sometimes the story gets lost in amongst too many sex scenes. In ‘Hunger’ the action and romance were balanced quite neatly, which, for me at least, was what I found most enjoyable.

A nice, neat 5 Shamrocks for another great book from Felicity Heaton.
